The Protestant Academy Bad Boll welcomes students of the international master’s degree program of the University of Hohenheim. This training seminar introduces participants to various possibilities of acquiring intercultural skills that are helpful in adjusting to everyday life in Germany.
We will exchange our experiences and draw lessons from the resources that diverse groups bring to this country. We will derive fresh insights from the intercultural perspectives that participants bring. We will compare various interpretations of cultural values that influence our behavior. We will open ourselves to new friendships and contribute to a learning community which is the University of Hohenheim. All this will support the objective of every student to succeed in academic studies while optimizing opportunities to experience the richness of shared cultural values.
Despite the differences in our cultural backgrounds, we hope to achieve a sense of solidarity with every participant in this training-seminar. We will be introduced to communication styles that can resolve cultural conflicts and promote respect for different value systems. With cultural awareness and sensitivity, we encourage openness among participants to the cultural, political, historical and religious diversities that Germany offers.
This seminar will also provide information helpful in managing daily life in Germany so that you will know about the network of support services that could respond to your needs.
